Health authorities on the mainland on Saturday reported just 264 new local Covid infections – down 90 from the previous day.
There were 170 cases in Shanghai, including 131 that were asymptomatic infections. Officials said one of the cases were found outside areas of the financial hub that remain quarantined.
Beijing saw 24 cases.
No new deaths were recorded.
