Prosecution begins for ex-justice chief Fu Zhenghua

Former justice minister Fu Zhenghua is being prosecuted for alleged corruption.

According to Xinhua News Agency, "a public prosecution has been initiated… over suspected bribe-taking and bending the law for personal gains" in the case against Fu.

The Changchun Municipal People's Procuratorate in Jilin Province recently filed a lawsuit with the Intermediate People's Court of Changchun.

Fu was expelled from the Communist Party in March and arrested a month later. He had also served as vice minister of public security and head of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, among other posts.
